It was a simple install but never doing one before I had questions. The support team was right there and told me to hang on and he was going to stay with me until it was complete. He helped with the set up and installation. Great support team , none better. You can’t believe how simple it has made life for the family. Auto lock lit keypad and tracking of who entered or left the house.

We have "NO" lock out in that time . We use to have 9 or 10 a mouth almost always after 10pm . We have apt. and room for students at IU . We had them installed by J&S Locksmith

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product I bought my first one a year ago and a second for the back door a few months later. Both are connected via Z-Wave to my smart home system, from which I can monitor lock status and lock and unlock both doors remotely. With advanced apps on the smart home system (SmartThings) both doors automatically lock 10 minutes after they close, just in case someone forgets. From the outside, entry is a breeze. The keypad is very easy to use, while pressing the "LOCK" button illuminates the keys for entry at night. Programming is relatively simple at the lock itself, if a little tedious, while smart apps make remote programming a breeze. Finally, the SmartKey feature gives the ability to re-key the cylinder myself and is a must-have feature. When we misplaced one key it was simple to re-key all locks to another key in under 30 seconds each. I highly recommend this lock as a reliable, attractive and feature-rich device for the modern home.

Just push of a button and it locks. Very convenient and I also like the fact you can program it to auto lock after 30 seconds. You will never have to worry whether you locked the door or not.

  • What lock functions can be control via a wink 2 hub and z-wave?

    I tried to pair my Smart Code 914 Zigbee to my smart things hub and the app said it was blacklisted and wouldn't work with it. What does this mean?

    Hello Dave Hand, Thank you for your interest in Kwikset model # 914TRL-ZB-15-UL. Any app related questions will need to be directed to your home connect dealer. If you do not have a dealer you would need to purchase either a Zigbee home automation system and the Smart Code with Zigbee from either Control 4 (control4.com) or HAI. Smartcode zigbee door locks are not connected via internet and are not Wi-Fi enabled devices. Smartcode locks are equipped with zigbee technology. In order for a zigbee device to work, they need to be paired to a zigbee controller. The controller is the main gateway to control all your zigbee devices that are enrolled to the wireless mesh. Some controllers work off your existing router via an Ethernet cable while others work through GSM radio (like cellular phones). You need to research different controllers in the market and find which one best suits your needs. Sincerely, Kwikset Support Team

    I recently installed wifi lights Zigbee on porch 6 feet from the lock also Zigbee Ever since my lock batteries need replacing every 2 weeks is this a coincidence or is my lock going bad Also lock on door is locked but on the Hub shows as unlocked???

    I purchased the 914 zigbee version smart lock. The batter runs low very often (ie, every couple mos), sometimes as quick as even monthly. This is a problem bc it&rsquo;s for a vacation home that is 3 hrs away. Is this normal? What can I do about it?

    Does this lock allow the door to unlock via bluetooth like the kevo. if not does quickest make a deadbolt that has bluetooth unlocking, a code and a key?
