Staples Connect consists of a multi-platform app and a universal hub that allows multiple devices to communicate with each other, creating a "smart home" scenario that provides users with a high level of comfort, convenience and safety.  Combined with Kwikset's SmartCode Z-Wave locks, Staples Connect users will be able to lock and unlock doors remotely via any web-enabled device, from virtually anywhere in the world.  Additionally, customized entry scenes can be created through individual codes for family members, neighbors and service providers.

The Staples Connect hub is manufactured by Linksys® and uses embedded software from Zonoff™ to communicate with supported Z-Wave®, Lutron Clear Connect™, and Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) devices.  

Other features of Home Connect technology include the ability to check lock status remotely; assign names to user codes for notifications via email or text with the lock's activity; and remotely add or delete access codes.
